TELL ME ABOUT YOUR THE BEGINNING!
We met on Hinge! After a brief back and forth we decided to meet at the St Kilda botanical gardens in the middle of winter, between lockdowns. The freezing temperatures couldn't stop us and we spent hours there and eventually ended up walking around St Kilda drinking spicy margs together.


WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU GET ENGAGED?
We got engaged down in Inverloch, where Elise grew up, on boxing day under a beautiful old gum tree on the bluff walking track. Reuben had been planning it for months and the moment was perfect (even if he was all choked up and could hardly get his words out). Elise said yes! And we shared a quiet moment sitting on top of the bluff looking over the water while Reuben got the rest of his words out.

HOW DO YOU ENVISION YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Connected, romantic, vibey and easy. We just want everyone to have fun! Is that too cliche? We've tried to keep things simple by having the ceremony and reception in the same venue, we've asked our beautiful friend Alex to be our celebrant and decided that a stand-up cocktail style wedding will hopefully keep things relaxed and fun. We've got a lot of friends and family who love to party (and so do we) so we'll try to bring that vibe.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
It will be really special to commit our love to each other in front of the people who mean the most to us. We're really proud of what we've built with each other and excited for our future and we cant wait to share that with our friends and family. Then bring on the dancing.

TOP TIPS?
Why wait? We were engaged in December and married in July. This meant we organised 90% of the wedding and honeymoon within the first two months. We haven't been overwhelmed with the almost unlimited options of wedding vendors and details. Elise gets a lot of the credit for this as she has a knack for making things happen.
