Liz & James' Tassie wedding/Bush Doof at Sandridge Estate was a wild celebration of love!

They planned their day around what was important to them, family, friends a whole lot of dancing, drinking and laughter - lots of laughter.

From having their friends run their ceremony to a cricket match and games with their guests then dancing all night Liz and James' commitment celebration was one big ol partayyyy!

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR THE BEGINNING!
It started where all good love stories start.. TINDER :)

We met in Sydney, trying to fit in dates where we could around night shift/ late nights in the corporate world. Breakfast coffee dates, early morning walks/swims, hot yoga, putt putt, rock climbing, axe throwing (lol), lazer tag - we did it all.

We both moved around for work for a few years and the did long distance thing, including an overseas stint - but after 4 years we randomly came together in Tasmania (of all places) and bought a little house in the mountains with our wee dog Puddin.

WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU GET ENGAGED?
In Tassie - Bruny Island, on my birthday (2 birds one stone for Jim). We went for hike, went skinny dipping on a deserted beach, and then Jimmy popped the question in the back of a scrapbook of all the activities we had been on since we started dating.

To top it off, he had rented an amazing Airbnb for the weekend, and charted a private yacht to pick us up from the private jetty. We had too many glasses of bubbles, feasted on oysters and fresh seafood and talked a bunch of shmack with the boat crew.

It was quite possibly the best weekend ever, filled with all our favourite things.

HOW DO YOU ENVISION YOUR DAY?
Just a whole bunch of fun with our nearest and dearest. Nothing too formal or traditional - just a whole lot of dancing, drinking good cocktails and laughter - lots of laughter.

TOP TIPS!
We LOVE our venue, however it is very 'DIY' so if we had to do it again (who knows, maybe we will when we officially get married) - would probably choose somewhere where all the organisation is done for us and can just turn up. Neither of us enjoy the 'nit picky' parts of organising a wedding like color schemes/table settings/decorations - so we outsourced or simply didn't have it. We are also very lucky to have a florist in the family :) :)

On the plus side, we chose a venue that doesn't have a lock-out time, and we can stay on site so we can party the night away. I guess you can't have it all.

Also - have your friends run your ceremony. We chose good friends who knew us both to be our 'celebrants' (as we are not officially getting hitched), and it has been the best thing not having to pay someone to get to know you/your relationship.

"Maegan was absolutely brilliant, we couldn’t have picked a better person (and duo with Down the Road Weddings video) for our day. They bought so much hype and energy, and there was never a dull or awkward moment when we were getting photos.

Maegan even bought her own music for when we were out and about, and really helped make the day all about us / living in the moment and not so much about posing. And the PHOTOS themselves, omg we have had so many comments about how great they are and we adore them. So natural, capturing the day so so perfectly and true to form.

Change your wedding date to suit Maegs, she is worth every penny and will bring extra spark and magic to your day."
