TELL ME ABOUT YOUR THE BEGINNING!
Our first date all those years ago was at Longrain, the restaurant downstairs, Carlo was clearly aiming to impress.
HOW DO YOU ENVISION YOUR WEDDING DAY?
We wanted the overall feeling for the day to be casual and relaxed. Longsong is a stunning space, and we knew that we didn’t need to have too many extra things in the space to make it special. We did away with a few traditional elements to keep it casual; no entrance, no first dance, no cake. We chose to have only our brother and sister as our bridal party. It was also important to us to try and be sustainable in our approach to planning the wedding when we could. We chose a florist local to us in Footscray (Lilac and The Cat) who focuses on locally grown and sourced flowers and sustainable flower design. We also hired recycled bottles from the florist as vases which looked great.
TOP TIPS?
Put full trust in your vendors and their creativity. My brief for photography, flowers, venue set up and music was pretty much to let them go with what they thought best. Without restrictions they could be at their best creatively. My flowers and the venue décor surprised me on the day, and I loved that!
